Kayaking, snorkelling and camping off grid, are all means to explore the Australian bush and beaches. Nature has so much to offer and armed with a gopro, I try to capture some of this for you.

Always good to get out on the water with some friends and enjoy the outdoors. The sealions were happy to approach and play, clear water and light winds = the perfect day.

Finally got round to putting this video together from last session.... Omeo is so popular and yet still so amazingly beautiful. Up before the sun, before the crowds, light NE winds and low swell, made for a lovely snork. #dangoesoz #omeowreck
Spring is here | is it too early to snorkel @ Ammo jetty

Yep the water is still cold but ok with a 4mm. Not as murky as expected and I think it is a Samson Fish not a Yellowtail Kingfish - let me know. Both the gopro's 9&10 kept saying low battery and turning themselves off after a couple of minutes. Never happened before, but now to both camera's - odd. Can anyone explain this? Get out there asap.... Music - epidemic sounds #dangoesoz
Snorkelling Parker point Rotto during a storm
Переглядів 799Рік тому
As winter starts, going to Rotto is a bit of a gamble to avoid the storms, but being a island, there is always a spot to shelter from the winds. After searching several spots that were blown out, Parker Point gave the best protection. Music www.epidemicsound.com Long Way Back - Damma Beatz Can I Hold You Again - John Runefelt #dangoesoz

Awesome video mate i go fishing there often
excellent video Danny, wow that white tip came too close!!
They look so elegant! Thankyou for showing us these beautiful creatures!
Nice videos 👌🏼
This is a bloody great video! Keep it up! Can’t wait to dive this spot
If you go to the last 3rd you'll see the big Samson fish. Great vid!
I had a day there with my newly married bride back in '83, wow . . just an awesome day. Snorkeling at the many beautiful bays, traveling by bicycle and it was 38degC all day! I'll never forget that day, and now I'm 65 and thinking about going back there and reliving my memories Greetings from the South Island of New Zealand!
Amazing snorkel images! I'm an aprentice with 60 y.o. and a mtbiker. Did beaches tour by bike and a little snorkel at the same beach there, 3 days ago. Notthing compared to you man! I hope I gonna get 30 pct of you... 😅 Congrats! Take care!
I love fishing there
You got yourself a yacht? 😮
amazing video, so beautifully put together! may i ask what program you used for colour grading?
Cheers. I use premiere pro, just a tiny touch up
My dad used to scupper dive around Rottnest when I was a kid. I never did it. I now get to see possibly the things he saw because of videos like this. Thank you ❤
Wow, so nice, thank you
Nice joovy coral trout at 5:01 and the spines on that cobbler at 10:15 will give you the most excruciating pain imaginable if you handle/step on them… Nice vid 😁👍
Didn't notice it was a coral trout - cheers
❤
Great video mate but please invest in a microphone sock 😅
Thanks for tip. Yes 100% going to order one online. Been watching a few vids about it - cheers
Amazing video 👍👍what editing software do you use?
Cheers, premiere pro
Another great video as always man 😊
Thank you
So glad you decided to talk on camera - great vids ☺️
Don't like talking on camera 🤣🤣
@@DangoesOzyou’re a natural.
Just found your videos, loving them. We were there Christmas eve, it was wonderful. Went down yesterday morning, it was the worst visibility we've seen there. Going to try early on Friday this week. Before the crowds.
Cheers. It is so hard to pick when the visibility is going to be good at Omeo. Got to just keep going until you score 😀. Let us know how you go on Friday.
love the scenes underwater and the fish following the camera🐠🐠
Often, the fish get very curious 🤔
Beautiful. What beach ia this in Rotto? I must have missed it 😅
Salmon Bay and Salmon Bay area
Damn mate, great footage. How do you hold your breath for that long underwater? What's your pb?
Thank you. I try to relax as it gets tiring swimming around, but if I can a solid 1 or even 1.5 minutes under water, I'm stoked.
was planning to get one for myself
Love your videos man and this is just another awesome example 👌
Thanks for watching and the comment, it definately encourages me to make more 😀😀
Nice one Dan. I was just sat at the Eshed Monday morning thinking about booking a ferry over to do the same mate. Great video All the best Clive 🤠
Hi Clive, get out there, Rotto is so good hey? We might bump into each other...
Rottnest is such a nice place to explore
Sure is.... get out there 😀😀
Hectic brother🤙🤙
What a spot. What bay is this?
Right next to the basin
beautiful thanks!

Sure, no problems at all
Nice story telling. Nice production. Thanks for sharing.
You are welcome
Beautiful spot to snorkel and explore.
Rotto rocks hey!!
Im from Ireland and landing in Perth on the 1st of May. I'm a PADI Rescue Diver at the minute and will be looking somewhere on the ningaloo reef to be compleiting my dive master course. Its looking like either exmouth or coral bay. Your videos are making me sway towards coral bay! The vis in your videos have been great! Hoping to get the new gopro hero 11 before I arrive so hopefully youll see some videos out in the next few months from my direction too! Great video bud and keep up the good work!
Welcome to WA, hope have some fantastic dives in a fantastic area.
Happy to have a chat to you when you arrive, RE pros/cons of Coral Bay and Exmouth.
Very cool video!
Thank you
Had a three week holiday there recently, stunning!!😎
Certainly is a fantastic place. Did you get some snorkelling in?
@@DangoesOz personally no,( poor swimmer) but my best mate Greg does, he lives and works on Rottnest 👍
Amazing shots, some days omeo is just great viz like the day I was down there: theres a vid of it on my channel
Cheers
Thanks for the video. I am from Melbourne so have found it easy to snorkel right through the Perth Winter yet still haven't managed as good a snorkel at Ammo jetty. Do want to say too, that I got heartily sick of my GoPro turning off, or switching modes, or turning upside down after duck diving, that I have switched to an Olympus Tg6 which I much prefer - bigger screen to read too!
Cheers for that. The water is probably warmer here. I agree with you that the gopro can be so frustrating to use, turning off, freezing etc
Nuce vid its a nice place on a clear day. I swam through that wreck and got stuck around 2 years ago. Almost drowned. Anyone wanting to try it Be careful it's a very tight space. Scared me off the ocean for a year. But I'm back spearfishing again 👌
Far out bro weird you just posted this and I'm heading down there today with mates haha cheers might have saved my dumb ass since I think I can swim far underwater even though I'm a full time smoker etc
@@johndoe1778 I was a dumb ass for not being more aware 😆 take care
Hi. Really nic video. What stick do you use with your gopro?
I use the gopro one. Image below. It's solid, quick to extend and has a ball head so it can pivot easy. It sinks but. www.retravision.com.au/gopro-el-grande-38-inch-extension-pole-agxts001
New to the channel, love seeing life around Rottnest very keen to check out this part of the island
Cheers, lovely place, get out there 👍👍
Amazing video. Where is the best place for snorkellers to enter for this kind of experience?
Point Peron is a find spot. The car park on the ocean side.
@@DangoesOz ok, so if I understand correctly it's the large sandy beach facing west? Is the northern or souther end of that beach better?
That's correct, I found some on the southern end of the sandy beach.
may I ask an question. what is the best time of the day to snorkeling and the best period of a year. It has been windy and big wave the few times I went there. 😢
Go when there are light winds, light northeastery is the best direction. Under a 1m swell is fine.
@@DangoesOz I went today and the visibility was bad, thanks for the advice.
@@reinerbraun5369 oh no, boo to that. Try again and eventually you should hit the jackpot

Thankyou, glad you enjoy these vids...
Amazing
Thankyou
What settings do you film on? Cheers 😎👍🏼
Film in 2.7/60.... hold the camera as steady as possible
Hi! Loved the video! What is the name of the beach?
Best point Peron video so far this I’ve seen, were there any sharks you saw off camera
No sharks on this trip, got some shark footage from another trip at Peron. It was a murky day so the footage is poor.
@@DangoesOz cool
I’m gonna go there soon
Good time of year....
